Privacy Policy – RouletteWheel
Last updated: 06 Dec 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Nysand Team (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Split Decision mobile application (the “App”).
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Who we are
Controller: Nysand Team
Contact email: splitdecisionapp@mail.com
For GDPR purposes, we are the data controller of the personal data processed through this App.
2. What the app does
RouletteWheel is an entertainment and utility app that helps you:
- Discover nearby venues (e.g., pubs, restaurants, etc.) using map and location services.
- Spin a roulette to randomly pick a place or option.
- Save favourite places and custom wheels.
- Tap “Get Directions” to open navigation in external map apps (e.g., Apple Maps, Google Maps).
We also show advertising via Google (AdSense/AdMob) and measure how the App is used to improve it.
3. Data we collect
We may collect and process the following categories of data:
3.1 Account data
- Email address (when you create an account or sign in).
- Display name / nickname (if you choose to add one).
Purpose: account creation, login, saving favourites and settings.
Legal basis: performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
3.2 Location data
Approximate and/or precise location (depending on your device settings and permissions).
Used for:
- Showing nearby venues and relevant map results.
- Improving local recommendations (e.g., pubs, restaurants around you).
Legal basis:
- Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) when you grant location permission.
- You can withdraw consent anytime in device settings by disabling location.
3.3 Usage data & “Get Directions” events
We log certain in-app actions, including:
- Which filters/categories you use (e.g., pubs, restaurants).
- Which place/place ID is selected when you tap “Get Directions” (to know what locations were actually opened for navigation due to the App).
- Time and date of the interaction.
We do not store your full navigation history from external map apps; we only record that from our App you requested directions to a specific place.
Purpose:
- Understand which places are actually used.
- Improve recommendations and app features.
- Detect abuse or bugs.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to understand and improve our App.
3.4 Device & log data
- Device model, OS version, language, country/region.
- IP address (short-term, mainly for security and anti-abuse).
- App version, crash logs, and basic performance metrics.
Purpose: app security, debugging, performance.
Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3.5 Advertising & identifiers
We use Google advertising services (e.g., Google AdMob/AdSense), which may process:
- Advertising identifiers (e.g. IDFA on iOS, if enabled).
- IP address, device info, approximate location.
- Interaction with ads (views, clicks).
Depending on your region and consent choices, ads may be:
- Personalised (based on your profile/interest data); or
- Non-personalised (contextual only).
Legal basis:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for personalised advertising in GDPR regions.
- Legitimate interest or contractual necessity for basic contextual ads and fraud prevention (depending on Google’s requirements & your consent choices).
You can manage ad personalisation via:
